David Blair

25 years of management and treasury experience in global companies David Blair was formerly vice-president treasury at Huawei where he drove a treasury transformation for this fast-growing Chinese infocomm equipment supplier. Before that David was group treasurer of Nokia, where he built one of the most respected treasury organisations in the world. He has previous experience with ABB, PriceWaterhouse, and Cargill.

David has extensive experience managing global and diverse treasury teams, as well as playing a leading role in e-commerce standard development and in professional associations. He has counselled corporations and banks as well as governments.

He trains treasury teams around the world and serves as a preferred tutor to the EuroFinance treasury and risk management training curriculum.

Byron Gardiner

Byron has over 15 years international treasury experience, the last 10 years of which have been focused primarily on the Asia Pacific region. He brings a unique perspective to the table built through experience in both corporate treasury and institutional banking. On the practitioner side, Byron has established and led Asia Pacific treasury teams for Oracle and Symantec and was most recently a Treasury Director at Huawei Technologies responsible for transforming the company's global treasury operations. Byron has also held senior positions with Merrill Lynch Treasury in London and with ANZ Banking Group in Sydney as a lead implementation manager for the Cash Management and Transaction Services business.

These roles have provided opportunities for Byron to develop significant expertise including:
• Regional Treasury Centre evaluation, development and implementation
• Treasury transformation and Financial Supply Chain process design and re-engineering
• Global and regional liquidity management and pooling structures
• Regional cash management and bank account structure optimization
• Bank relationship management
• RFP/RFI experience as both customer and vendor
• Project co-ordination and management in a cross cultural environment

Byron has spoken at EuroFinance Asia Pacific conferences on "Global Treasury Trends - Is Your Company Ready for the Future" and “Game On – Redefining Banking Relationships”. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Business, majoring in Finance and Statistics and was awarded the Australian Institute of Bankers Prize. He is also a longstanding member of the Singapore branch of the ACT.
